After graduating from the University of Bristol in 2017 with a degree in French and German, I began working at the London office of Monocle where I was employed as a researcher and writer. Later, I moved to the books department as assistant editor, helping to produce a range of hardback titles including The Monocle Book of Italy and The Monocle Book of Japan (a Thames and Hudson 2020 best seller). I also worked on travel guides to Marrakech and Budapest, among other cities.
Since beginning my freelance career, I have contributed articles on everything from contemporary Finnish architecture to Paris’ longest-running private detective agency, and interviewed leading figures in the worlds of music, art and design.
I was also lead writer of The Book of Birkenstock — a collaboration between the historic German footwear brand, Steidl publishers and Bureau Borsche.
In terms of commercial clients, I have created work for the likes of Belmond Hotels, La Prairie and Georg Jensen.
Recent editorial assignments have included putting together a guide to the Athens creative scene for Artsy, interviewing DJ Charlie Bones for Apartamento, reporting on Germany’s oldest film studio for Monocle, profiling Angolan pop icon Pongo for WePresent and writing about the Turkish island of Büyükada for the Financial Times.
I'm currently based in Athens and am open to freelance opportunities.
